Thermal lined curtains for a large bay

These curtains made for a wide bay were quite a challenge. Heavy face fabric and the thermal linings were chosen to help retain warmth and limit noise from a nearby road.  The fabric was from Dunelm.

Curtains for a lovely view!

These are simple gathered lined curtains made in a lovely slubby linen from John Lewis  I particularly like the way the light filters through them.  The pattern picks up colours in the walls, carpet and original 1930s tiled fireplace (not seen here!)

The same design for a house down the road!

These were made to the same design for a nautical theme in a friend's son's room.  It was easier than I'd expected to make the design match in the middle!  The fabric is a great print from John Lewis.

Roman blinds for a tiny bay window

I made these while heavily pregnant with my daughter!  It was tricky to know how to dress this window, as at the time the room was so tiny that every extra bit of space counted.  I wanted to make use of the extra window ledge space.  I chose a lovely design from Harlequin's 'Going Dotty' range.  This was seven and a half years ago, and they are still going strong and don't look out of place in what is now my five year old son's room.
